Monterey Bayonet and Black Horse Wedding - Fiona + Michael
I've known my dear friend Fiona from the college days, we were roommates, she was going for her master and I was finishing up my bachelor's degree. I still remember almost 10 years ago, the night she was going to give birth to her daughter, we took her to the hospital after she had just gotten back from the Disneyland with her sister Mandy. She was already feeling contractions while in Disneyland, so for the 6-hour drive from LA back to the bay area, she was keeping track of how close her contractions were all in a very calm and chill manner! When they finally are back to the bay area, the contractions were close enough for us to sent her to the hospital. Needless to say, I was the one freaking out. hahaha
After giving birth, being a single mom did not stop her from pursuing her dreams, she went back to school for her second master while taking care of her daughter and working full time. She is a smart, strong and independent woman, I admire her strength very much. Things were going well but got even better when Michael came into her life. Michael was a single dad, he is caring, patient and values the importance of family and can cook very well! I am so glad now the family is a whole. It was a pleasure to photograph their wedding day, seeing their close friends and family coming from all over the world to celebrate this special day makes me so happy for Fiona and Michael. The highlight of the day was Fiona's daughter and Michael's son as the flower girl and ring bearer, it was a touching moment to see them walking down the aisle to their mom and dad's wedding ceremony.
The reception unfolds with waves of laughter and tears from speeches, great food, dancing and finally cake cutting. Finally, we sent Fiona and Michael off to a wonderful life together with sparklers! I can't wait to share these photos with you, take a look below and walk through the memory lane with me.
