I've known Annie for a long time but this is the first time of us meeting in person. About 7 years ago we followed each other on a social platform called Plurk, from there we got to know each other at a good personal level but we never had the chance to meet in person. I am so glad photography brought us closer, it was
Joice and Ken’s wedding was absolutely beautiful! They are both wine lovers so it made perfect sense to hold their wedding at a gorgeous winery. I was very impressed with Joice’s planning skills. Joice and Ken both live on the east coast,
There are so many words I can describe the San Francisco City Hall, but what comes to my mind first is elegant and classy. My gorgeous couple was all dressed up for their civil ceremony, they scheduled an early appointment for
Lei Lei and Kevin are such a fun couple! They have relocated to Texas from the San Francisco Bay area for work but were back in town for their wedding. I met up with them 2 days before their wedding day for their engagement session.
What a beautiful backyard wedding this past Sunday! Lei Lei and Kevin's love survived many years of long distance years together, it was incredible hearing their friends and family talk about their love stories during the reception.
This post is long overdue! The beautiful almond tree blossom bloomed late February this year, and because of all the rain we were getting, it was very difficult to schedule a family session. We visited the farm in early March and were very lucky to catch the last bit of almond tree flowers!
I had to pleasure to be the second photographer on 4/22/17 for my friend Elina from Elina Rose Photography. This wedding started at the Northbrae community church in Berkeley, it was a beautiful church with lots of greeneries. After the ceremony, we moved to the Lake Merrit in Oakland where the bride and groom had some nice alone time riding the gondola. We were able to photograph the last bit of their romantic ride.
Our photo shoot in the beautiful Triple S Ranch is ready to share!! Our makeup artist Felicia Chang from Bun Bun Bridal Lab came to me with a vision of creating a beautiful shoot that has a lot of baroque elements. I thought the baroque elements were so "Beauty and the Beast"!! Keep reading and look at the photos to see what I'm talking about!
Julieanne and Anthony first met in 2012 at a Dodgeball League, they became best friends before they decided to tie the knot. Anthony gave Julieanne her dream proposal at the Disney princes' castle in front of hundreds of strangers!
I've been photographing my good friend Jamie's family since she was just pregnant with Cynthia. It's wonderful to see Cynthia grow and document the process with my lens. Last weekend was her 3rd birthday and I had to be there to celebrate!
Senah's first birthday was full of fun! Ahnah got Senah three different outfits, one made her look like a beautiful princess with tulle, lace and a pretty flower crown. Her second outfit was the traditional Hanbok, full of bright colors. Senah's last outfit was the cutest piggy outfit. The party theme was inspired by the Mo Willems book,
I met up with Cassandra from Cassandra McClure a few weeks ago for this bridal inspired shoot. I love what she did with Mica's hair and makeup, the very clean and simple updo made our bride looking very classy. Her subtle sunkissed eye makeup worked well with the rosy lip color. The beautiful emerald ring is from Susie Saltzman and the dress from BCBG.
I had the pleasure to work with a team of talented vendors at the Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont, California just before the spring season started. My good friend Jessica Shortt, who is also a great photographer had the vision of a romantic elopement in a barn setting, and we were so lucky Ardenwood Historic Farm opened their arms to us for this shoot. It was the perfect venue for what we had prepared for this shoot.
This family/anniversary session was perfect! I was in Las Vegas for the annual wedding photographers conference and had the pleasure of meeting Danielle, who is also a photographer. Danielle and her husband John were celebrating their 8th year wedding anniversary, they put on their outfit from 8 years ago on their wedding date for this family session.
I can't believe how much rain we are receiving here in California! Although it is good to fix the drought situation that's been around for several years, I have to say "I miss the sunshine!" I can't wait for the sun to come out again so I can create more beautiful images with talented wedding vendors.
This is by far one of my favorite photo shoots in the year of 2016. I wanted to create a wedding inspiration shoot for brides who like an outdoor wedding but want to keep it looking elegant. The color we used is based on silver, lilac, and white.
We have been receiving lots of rain since the beginning of 2017 here in California. On 1/14/17, we were lucky to have some sun and greenery for this photo shoot. Our host Jen had a vision of having all things green, so from the bride's flower crown, to her bouquet, the wedding stationary, the head table and the wedding cake were all green!
Happy 2017! I know I am kind of late, but better late than never? I was able to capture these fun holiday photos for Mandy right before Thanksgiving. Sebastian was only 5 months but he is a big as a 9 month old. We started the family session inside the house where they feel most comfortable.
Finally got to share photos I took of my photographer from Emi from the Temecula wine country. I had the chance to be in San Diego at the end of the summer, so I thought I took a trip to Temecula to visit Emi.
Sherry and Brian's San Francisco city hall civil ceremony was last week. It was a busy day inside the city hall filled with many tourist visiting this historic site and couples who are getting their marriage license.
I was very happy Susan from Jireh Artisty contacted me to do this bridal shoot in the Fairmont Hotel San Jose. It was a fun afternoon hanging out with many wedding industry friends. Our beautiful bouquet and boutonniere is by Sara Dubon from Dubon Floral Design. I've worked with Sara before and absolutely love her floral design.
During my trip in Taiwan, I was so happy to visit families and friends. My cousin Amber who I grew up with, just gave birth to her daughter 2 months prior, and I was so excited to capture sweet moments of her family.
Once in a life time I was a cabin crew working for Cathay Pacific. Those were the fun days where I got to travel to places, and it is one of the reason why I still love to travel up to this day. Pui San was one of my co-worker, she has also left the company many years ago. Years gone by after our cabin crew days, she is now a mommy of two energetic boys.
I took a long trip to Taipei at the end of October to attend my good friend Kelly's wedding. I've known her since we were in elementary school! It was such an honor to capture moments for her engagement photos.
