It was a cold day in February, Jackie and Rob wanted to bring their doggie to the engagement session and I thought there is no place better than the lover’s lane in Presidio. We spent an hour at the presidio, first photograph the doggie because they are just like kids, the attention span is short.
Katherine and Scott's wedding was on the last week of July, and we had perfect weather in Fremont. Katherine grew up attending St. Joseph's church, which is associated with Mission San Jose. It made perfect sense for their decision to get married at this historic church.
Mark and Cheryl's summer wedding in June was held at the Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley. They met years ago at a meetup, Mark was supposed to be set up with someone else, but when he saw Cheryl, he had to get to know her, it had to be serendipity!
I was very excited when Oliva from La Olivia invited me to attend this floral workshop taught by the world famous florist Gabriella from La Musa De Las Flores. As a wedding photographer, I work closely with florists, but a lot of times, I only got the see the end side of the amazing floral design, not behind the scenes.
Ardenwood Historic Farm located in Fremont, California. I am fortunate to be able to photograph weddings there every year. The picture opportunities on this ground is countless. From the historic Patterson house, to elaborate gardens to the goats and cows and so much more.
Valley of fire! It took me long enough to finally blog these gorgeous photos!
This shoot happened in February of 2018. While attending the annual Wedding & Portrait Photography International, I decided to join this workshop held by a talented team of wedding vendors. You probably can’t tell but this was in February
This gorgeous workshop hosted by Cassie Valente happened March this year. I always love her photography style and I was excited to meet new people in the industry at the first quarter of 2019. The first half of the workshop, Cassie shared her own experience as a wedding photographer in San Francisco, she shared tips
Jen thought she was getting ready for a portraits sessions for their save the date cards, little did she know Ian planned to give her a proper proposal on this day! I didn’t even know this beautiful park near the Crissy field existed until this day,
It has been raining so much in California, so when we woke up on the morning of March 23,2019 we were glad it was a clear day for Eddie and Scott’s wedding. Their wedding was held at the historial Argonaut Hotel, it was built in 1907 of exposed brick, and the rooms are full of seaside characters.
Ever since I second shoot at the Elliston Vineyards in 2017, I’ve been wanting to come back to this gorgeous venue. Big thanks to Grace and Tim on having me documenting their special day. We have met up a few months before for an engagement session so on the day of the wedding, portrait session went quick and smoothly.
Another beautiful wedding in 2018 at the historical San Francisco Fairmont Hotel. This time I had the opportunity to second photographing for Joe from Joe Kim Studio. I started my wedding photography journey from assisting to second shooting and eventually booking my own clients. Even though I’m booking my own clients now, I still enjoy second shooting on days when I don’t have clients, because it’s a time that’s without too much stress and allow me to be creative.
I’m super excited to share this wedding in 2019! This is the second wedding I did this year inside of the San Francisco City Hall (first wedding of Vicky and Harold is coming up) . This beautiful ceremony was on a Saturday morning, we went off on the original schedule a little bit so I was really on an adrenaline high wanting to make sure I get all the photos Rosa and Wilson would love.
This post is long overdue! Grace and Tim’s engagement session was in September of 2018, if you don’t know San Francisco is usually still cold and chilly in the normal summer months, but in September it actually warms up. It was a nice sunny afternoon for us at the magnificent Palace of Fine Arts, every time I come to this beautiful place if amazes me.
Ray and Anna’s beautiful San Francisco City Hall wedding was in October of 2018. Anna was in a gorgeous backless lace wedding dress and Ray was in a classic black suit. Their family members were there to celebrate, some came from as far as Taiwan. It always touches my heart so much when I photograph clients with roots in Taiwan, because that is my home country as well.
Sunny and Peter’s beautiful wedding was classic and elegant. The color was center around ivory, green and burgundy, I think it’s a great combination for a winter wedding. They came all the way from Cleveland to celebrate the wedding day with family and friends in San Jose. Even though it was December, we were lucky to be surrounded by the warmness of the California sunshine.
Bar SZ Ranch is a real working ranch nestled In the majestic hills Of San Benito county. As soon as I arrive the site, I can fee the family-friendly vibe, which is perfect for Alexis and Andrés wedding.
Their wedding were decorated with pumpkins, sunflowers and yellow daisies which harmonized with the ranch so well. I love many details like the polaroid photos of the two of them while dating, wooden signs, pinecones, candles and so much more that were on their welcome table.
It was a beautiful day with a clear sky in San Francisco on Tony and Michelle’s wedding day. Their wedding was held at the historic Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. From the moment I met them at their engagement session a few months before the wedding, I can sense they’ll have a fun and energetic wedding party, and I was right!
I've known my dear friend Fiona from the college days, we were roommates, she was going for her master and I was finishing up my bachelor's degree. I still remember almost 10 years ago, the night she was going to give birth to her daughter, we took her to the hospital after she had just gotten back from the Disneyland with her sister Mandy. She
I would always suggest my brides to hire a wedding planner to take some pressure off themselves. If they are planning their own wedding, I would still suggest hiring a day of coordinator to make sure everyone is following the timeline, also for the vendors to have a 'point-person' to go to when there are questions during the wedding day.
I'm glad my couples always chose the San Francisco City Hall as their engagement session location. I just never get tired of photographing beautiful couples in this gorgeous historic building. Michelle and Tony also choose the City Hall for their engagement session, we met late in the afternoon when it's less crowded,
I love newborns! They are so tiny, cute and always sleeping so peacefully. I photographed Evalyn when she was less than 2 weeks old! She is so cute and has a full head of hair, I love her black hair, it's so shiny and luscious.
Chris and Anne are getting married in San Francisco City hall a day after Independence Day. They spent a lot of their time in the Sacramento area, so for their engagement session, we visited some of the landmarks in Sacramento to document their love for each other.
You might still remember Joanne and Mark's beautiful engagement shoot we did January this year. Fast forward to June, their wedding in the Shakespeare garden was just as beautiful as their engagement photos at the Sutro bath, and even better they were surrounded by family and friends.
I photographed Christie and Chi Wai a year ago for their SF city hall wedding. It's a year later and they are expecting a baby boy! I was so happy when they contacted me with the news! We decided to do the maternity session in their home, where they feel most comfortable. It was a nice warm spring morning, we were able to capture nice intimate moments of them. Their baby is due in July and I can't wait to meet him!
Ruth and Haig are engaged! Their wedding will be in July this year in the beautiful Ardenwood Historic Farm and I can't wait to capture their big day! We wanted to get engagement photos done early so they can start printing invitation for family and friends. Tips for my brides, schedule your engagement session at least 2 months in advance because it takes about 3-4 weeks to edit the photos.
