This is the first city hall civil ceremony I’ve done since the Covid-19 pandemic and I couldn’t be more excited! S+C’s civil ceremony was scheduled on an early Friday, we met at the based of the grand staircase inside the San Francisco City Hall. Sophia was in a beautifully altered dress from Lulus and her make up and hair done by Beauty by Pace, a bouquet from Whole Foods! I was surprise how great a bouquet from Whole Foods looked.

Sophia told me, she and Chris met in high school, and their proms had always been inside the city hall. But the year of their prom the school decided not to have it in the city hall(bummer). I hope this civil ceremony, with all the beautiful portraits we took, will make up for the disappointment from the past. :)

I often get clients asking what’s the best time to schedule for my civil ceremony? I always recommend as early as possible in the morning, because that’s when the city hall is the most quiet and empty. We were lucky to have the city hall to ourselves on this day, and you can see from the photos how we took advantages of that!.

The judge on this day didn’t require the bride and groom to keep their masks on, but I returned to the City Hall a week later and this time a different judge required masks on during the ceremony, but not to worry, we’ll still be able to get you beautiful photos without having the masks on after or before the ceremony.

Congratulations to Sophia and Chris and I can’t wait for the bigger celebration coming in 2022!
