Sacramento + Emeryville Engagement Session - Ruth and Haig

Ruth and Haig are engaged!  Their wedding will be in July this year in the beautiful Ardenwood Historic Farm and I can't wait to capture their big day!  We wanted to get engagement photos done early so they can start printing invitation for family and friends.  Tips for my brides, schedule your engagement session at least 2 months before your wedding day, it takes about 3-4 weeks to get your photos after the session and I want you to have enough time to have them for printing.

Another useful tip is to get your bridal makeup trial on the day of your engagement session. After your makeup and hair trial just continue your day into the engagement session, better yet, reserve a table for you and your better half at your favorite restaurant and celebrate after the engagement session for looking fabulous!

Ruth was so sweet and wanting to take photos with both of her grandmas in Sacramento, so we started our session in Emeryville where they got engaged and then finally headed to the International World Peace Rose Gardens in Sacramento to finish the session.

Ruth and Haig have so much love for each other, I can see the sparkles in their eyes when they told me how Haig popped the big question.  They even reenact what happened that day, take a look at these photos.

We left Emeryville and drove to Sacramento to meet up with Ruth's family.  Both of her grandmas are in their 90's and looking great!  I love the idea of them bringing their own bridal portraits to be included in the photoshoot.  To make the engagement session extra special, Ruth was wearing one of her grandma's wedding dress!  Her makeup and hair really completed her bridal look, I love how natural and effortless it looked.  Thanks to Felicia from Bun Bun Bridal Lab.

We finished the session in old Sacramento, the historical building, the train tracks and the brick wall were the perfect backdrop for the lovely couple.  I can't wait for their wedding in July, it is going to be classy, elegant and absolutely beautiful.
